Being a mother is a blessing. How blessed I feel watching these two innocent faces which are blooming with smile as they are fast asleep. I wish I can show them how much I love them and I hope they know.
Yes, I do loose patience many times a day. Yes, I do yell at them many times out of my frustration and inability to handle things. Yes, I do feel guilty after shouting at them. Sometimes their nagging behavior, constantly seeking my permission for one or the other thing makes me cranky, angry and insane.
But at the end of the day when I am done with all the chores and all set to hit the bed ; I peep into their room to check if they are sleeping comfortably. I kiss them goodnight in their sleep and after putting their blankets on them, I stand there in their room for some more time. I simply stare at them, how innocent they look when they are sleeping. I realize how fast are they growing. How I have spent many sleepless nights with them. Sometimes, at this moment, many of their childhood memories flash in front of my eyes and how I relish each of them with smile on my face.
Each night I make this promise only to break it every morning, 'That I will not scold my babies for anything now.'
