Welcome back Akhil.

A year long separation coming to an end. Akhil coming back from London tonight. I am so thrilled to welcome him back. It is kept secret from the girls and I can't wait to see their reaction when they will see him standing in front of them all of a sudden. Amidst all this excitement a part of me will miss one thing and that is our video calls. These video calls meant so much to me that I used to wait for the next call right after we have said goodbye. Those 1.5-2 hours of conversation includes everything like what we ate, kids and their school, how the day went etc etc. I don't know if it's different for others but somehow from my personal experience I can say, ironically,we get less time to talk and spend with each other when we are in a same time zone and living together. Though we do make calls to each other several times in a day but it lasts for few seconds or may be a min or two. We don't get 2 hours to talk looking at each other. Travelling hours from home-work-home and the hectic metro life to be blamed for not leaving us time to talk during weekdays. So I will surely miss our video calls and will also miss missing him so much.  This one year has made me stronger. I am the better person than what I was a year ago. I went through bad times when Shreya fell ill twice or I got my thumb fracture or many such small incidents which happened in this one year. But I am happy these things happened because I got to know whom I can look upon and who are there just to say I am there with you. I found some friends who regularly keep check on how I am doing and I feel bless to have them and I lost some people whom I consider my friends. But that's how life is. People come and go but life goes on. In this one year my bond with Saakshi grew stronger too. We are more like friends now than just a mommy and daughter.  Opportunities like this help you grow as a person. They make you mature and wise. So glad it is coming to an end. And I am happy to welcome him back and the festive season add more charm to it.
